Letter from Bill Cook – Organizational Changes at MHA

Dear MHA Members,

Thank you to all who were able to attend the Ag Classic Expo, and thank you to all of the sponsors and friends of the Missouri Hemp Association. Despite the heat, we had a great turn out. The virtual portion of the event will continue to be available for viewing for those who missed it or would like to re-watch the event. You can view that anytime at www.agclassicexpo.com.

In 2019, a great team of people came together to form this organization. I am grateful that I have had the pleasure to be a part of MHA since the beginning. In 2020, we have watched the growth of the hemp industry across the nation and witnessed some good progress for our industry. We are all looking forward to what the rest of this year and 2021 have in stock for the hemp industry.

At this time, I am changing my role with MHA to focus energy and attention in my role as Chairman of the Board for the Missouri Organic Association. As always, my goal is to bring together as many groups and relationships as I can to help push the agriculture industry forward. I will continue to be involved with MHA and the hemp industry as a whole. Please don’t hesitate to contact me at any time if there is anything I can do to help your operation.

Change is necessary for organizations to be successful, and I am confident that this change will be good for MHA. We feel that the best way to continue the intention of our organization and to build on what MHA has started is for Meghan Dixon to step up and serve as Interim Director at this time.

Thank you to all MHA members who have made this one of the many wonderful experiences of my lifetime. I wish you all the best this fall.

Sincerely,

William J. Cook
